During advisory class, staff gathered everyone in the Bijou hall for a dance party. There was music and, if students were dancing they were given a bag of candy.  Students went to class until  2:10 pm, when they were released to the hallway again for a party.

There was music, everyone was dressed up, and a full table of sweets and desserts was available. Inflatable soccer and basketballs were being thrown through the hallway. Everyone, including teachers, were getting bumped by the balls. No one was safe, but it was a soft beach ball. The School Sraff were Judges looking at all the costumes to choose who had the best one. Everyone had a great time listening to music and eating.

A chili contest was being held. There were five contestants, Principal, Kathryn Presnal; History Teacher, Mr. Chantiny; Science Teacher, Eva Syrovy; English Teacher, Renee Cockrell; and Receptionist and Attendance Clerk, Leslie Fowler, all participated in the contest.

Mr. Chantiny cooked a white chili. Students tasted the chilis and voted for who they thought had the best chili. Ms. Syrovy was voted to have the best chili.

The costume contest judges made a final decision on the best costume. Throughout the party, judges had been looking and writing down favorite costumes. They reviewed their choices and agreed on the winner. Shea Bailey won best costume.  He was dressed as Bob Ross, a famous painter. Bailey’s reward was candy. The Bijou Halloween bash was a great time for everyone.
